Today (17-01-2024 ), a constructive meeting took place at the IKA HQ regarding the 2nd season of WSP – World Series Pro and the organisation of the Prize Money at the International Open Championships in Italy and in Iran. Detailed matters were discussed about the system of IKA ranking where from this year, WSP players will be qualified through the ranking of IKA and the new criteria involved.
IKA requested that UKF increase the number of weight categories from 7 to more as this will give athletes more chances to participate at WSP and win more prize money in cash.
Another point on the meeting agenda was the Asian Senior Kurash Championships scheduled for the first week of June in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, regarding local transportation, accommodation, etc…
During the meeting Secretary General of IKA Mohammad Reza Nassiri, Head of the IKA Administration Mansur Mirzaev, Assistant of the Chairman of the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan Sardor Karimov, Deputy Chairman of the Uzbekistan Kurash Federation Bakhtiyor Kadirov were present.
