Minister of Sports and Youth of the Islamic Republic of Iran Kayumars Hashemi received the Secretary General of the International Kurash Association, President of the Kurash Federation of Iran Mohammad Reza Nassiri and Chairman of the Legal Committee of the International Kurash Association, President of the Wushu Federation of Iran Amir Sedighi.
The meeting was full of results. During the conversation, Minister Kayumars Hashemi spoke in detail about the participation of Iranian athletes in the XIX Asian Summer Games and the XIV World Senior Kurash Championship.
The IKA Secretary General emphasized that the comprehensive support of the Iranian Ministry of Sports in the ongoing work on Kurash is becoming increasingly significant. He expressed satisfaction with the cooperation in this direction.
Mr. Hashemi noted that the Wushu and Kurash federations are among the most successful in the country. These are federations with maximum state support. He also noted that special attention is paid to the development of infrastructure for these sports.
