The second day of the XIV World Kurash Championship has ended. “Bosha Bosh” sports complex in Ashgabat witnessed intense, irreconcilable debates, joy and tears today. Especially the host Kurash athletes showed what they are capable of today.
Importantly, the competition in Ashgabat discovered new names in the world of Kurash. In particular, the representative of the Dominican Republic won the world championship for the first time. In addition, some athletes became world champions for the first time in Ashgabat.
Kurash is a symbol of friendship and respect. This saying was proven at the XIV World Championship. The Kurash athletes showed respect to each other before and after each battle on the gilam. Victory and competing could be were felt only during the battle on the carpet. The rest of the time was friendly atmosphere. That is, this year’s World Championship in Kurash brought the representatives of the world of sports closer to each other and caused an increase in harmony. In addition, it has become a place for mutual exchange of experience for Kurash athletes, and new school for young Kurash athletes.
As for the final results, Uzbek Kurash athletes won the first place with 7 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze, a total of 9 medals. The second place went to the national team of Turkmenistan, which collected 5 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze medals, totaling 15 medals. The third place was taken by the national team of Kazakhstan with 1 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals, a total of 6 medals.

Vietnam 1 gold, 1 bronze, Dominican Republic 1 gold, Iran 5 silver and 6 bronze, Chinese Taipei 1 silver and 2 bronze, Tajikistan 4 bronze, India 2 bronze, Egypt, IKA, Republic of Korea, Turkey, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan and Indonesia won one bronze medal each.
