The official opening ceremony of the 14th World Senior Kurash Championship has started

With a very beautiful design, colorful lights and about 5,000 spectators, the World Kurash Championship was officially opened.

In a solemn spirit, the greeting of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimukhamedov to the participants of the XIV World Kurash Championship was read out.
In the greeting, it is noted that the ancestors who lived in the ancient Turkmen land, which is the heart of the Great Silk Road, paid great attention to raising a physically and mentally healthy young generation. In this way, it was recognized that a special Kurash school was established to train athletes who demonstrated their skills during the holidays.
President of the Republic of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimukhammedov’s greeting was read by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkmenistan Nurmukhammed Amannepesov.
The World Kurash Championship was announced officially open! The national anthem of Turkmenistan was played, and the national flag was raised above the stands.
Then the speech was given to the President of the International Kurash Association (IKA), Haider Farman, who, addressing the audience, expressed his sincere happiness to see everyone in the beautiful capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat.
