On October 21 2023, at the sports complex of the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua
The first national championship was held by the Kurash Federation of Nicaragua.
Mr. Frank Silva Urbina, President of the kurash Federation of Nicaragua, said
A total of 56 athletes from 4 regions of the republic took part, 15 women and 41 men athletes.
Representatives of the country’s sports leadership, heads of universities, and heads of many sports clubs of the country were invited to the championship matches.
Now, the federation plans to regularly organize national championships in Kurash.
