The seminar of Uzbek kurash referees, took place from July 27th to August 2nd, at the Sagbon kurash complex in Tashkent, ended today.
About 40 referees took part in the seminar, which was organized in cooperation with the International Kurash Association, the International Kurash Institute, and the Uzbekistan Kurash Federation.
Training sessions on rules of refereeing in Kurash, evaluation system and standards of competitions, responsibilities, roles, and duties of referees, as well as on other topics related to the field were conducted based on the new instructive methodology.
Young referees demonstrated all the knowledge and skills they had acquired during the week in front of the top IKI experts.
IKI certificates were handed over to referees who successfully completed the seminar.
Speaking at the event, IKA General Secretary acknowledged that the recent positive changes in the world of Kurash and the increase in demand for many experienced coaches, referees, and trainers World-wide. He noted that one of the urgent tasks is to train, re-educate, improve the skills of referees and to keep them updated, conduct scientific research on kurash, create educational and methodological manuals, as well as organize theoretical and practical seminars.
