Cairo has become the center of kurash on the African continent.
Tomorrow, July 9, the African Championship among seniors will start at the Heliopolis sports complex in Cairo.
According to the championship program, today, a seminar of kurash referees is taking place at the national Olympic sports complex.
Kurash referees of the African continent are participating in the seminar.
In the first half of the day, theoretical training sessions were planned.
AKU Referee Director Mr. Guy Ambeto, Mr.Ali Shaherkhani KCAO Referee Commission member and Mr. Mohammad Esfanabi explained to the participants the Rules of Kurash, the most complicated aspects of the refereeing judgement, evaluation and penalties of techniques.
In the second half of the day, the practical training of the Seminar will take place.
Based on the schedule of the seminar, the participants will also take part in the championship matches. Their performances will be evaluated by experienced experts, and finally, based on the results of the exam, the referees may pass the star licenses.
