The medal perfectly captures the geographical essence of Hangzhou. It was inspired by the Lianzhou culture of 5,300-4,300 BC and the ceremonial jade mountain. The unique and instantly recognizable design combines a square element with a round medal. It embodies the unrelenting determination of athletes to strive, challenge themselves, and conquer one peak after another. 7 sets of Shan Shui medals will be awarded to the winners and prize-winners of the 19th Asian Summer Games in Kurash.
