Deaflympics is a special sports game for people with hearing impairment. About 30 Olympic and non-Olympic sports were included in the Program of these prestigious games.
The Deaflympics are held every 4 years and are recognised by the International Olympic Committee and in FIFA soon a branch of it will be established.
The International Kurash Association is conducting a regular constructive dialogue on the inclusion of kurash in the Deaflympics sports.
The first round of dialogue was held between IKA General Secretary Reza Nassiri and the President of the Asia Pacific Deaf Sports Confederation Mr. Pargar (Iran), representatives of the Confederation Albert Lim (Malaysia), Ahmad Tagavi (Bahrain), Jassof Franklev (Russia).
At the meeting, positive discussions were held regarding the inclusion of kurash in deaf sports. Technical issues, in particular regulations, were discussed.
It was agreed by the authorities that the next meeting will be held in Tashkent with the participation of the IKA President.
