According to the calendar of the International Kurash Association, on October 10-12 of this year, the European Championship and World Series Pro tournament will take place in Rome, Italy.
In order to organize and hold these competitions at the highest level, the International Kurash Association, the European Kurash Confederation and the Italian Kurash Federations are collaborating on the basis of the relevant Program.
A meeting dedicated to the discussion of this matter has been organized at the headquarters of the International Kurash Association.
IKA General Secretary Mohammad Reza Nassiri, President of the Italian Kurash Federation Vittorio Giorgi and member of the organizing committee of the competition, partner of the Italian Kurash Federation, businessman Giuseppe Palma took part in it.
At the meeting, all organizational and technical issues related to the competition were discussed.
Transportation, accommodation, food and preparation of the sports arena for the participants carefully taken into account step by step.
It should be noted that the continental championship is being organized for the first time on the Apennine Peninsula. It is planned to organize seminars and exams for referee and coaches of national federations of the continents within the framework of the championship.
On October 12, the European qualifying round of the World Series Pro tournament will determine the winners of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan award.
It should be pointed out that Rome will host the last qualifying stages for the World Series Pro competition. Athletes, who who placed first or second in the qualifying on all continents, will compete in the World Series Pro finals in Tashkent on November.
According to the President of the Italian Kurash Federation, Mr. Giorgi, these kurash competitions are widely supported by the Italian Ministry of Sports and the National Olympic Committee.
Also, the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the embassies of Uzbekistan in Italy are cooperating in holding the events.
For your information: Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov, Vice President of the IKA, and Merampi Iliadis, President of the European Kurash Confederation, visited Rome on 14-15 days to discuss issues related to these events. During the visit, they had a meeting with the members of the organizing committee of the competition at the PalaPellicone sports arena in Rome, where the kurash matches will be held.
