Today, April 30, the last competition of the Kurash Week in Hangzhou, the World Series Pro International Kurash Tournament announced winners for the prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The participants of the Asian Senior Kurash Championship tried their luck directly in this tournament.
The International Kurash Association, the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kurash Federations of Uzbekistan will organize the world’s only international kurash tournament series in a new plan.
The competition between more than 70 athletes from 17 countries were full of dramatic moments.
In the finals of the absolute weight category, the finalists of the Asian Championship faced each other again.
5 times world champion in absolute weight, winner of the Asian Games, 2 times Asian champion Muhsin Hisomiddinov defeated the World Sambo Champion Bekbolot Toktogonov from Kyrgyzstan.
Two days ago, he won the final of the Asian Championship with an honest score.
World kurash champion, Asian champion, Umid Esanov from Uzbekistan, who became the best athlete of the world in 2022, met his old rival from Iran, Mohammad Mohammad, in the final match.
Only the permission of the doctors prevented the fighting. Umid Esanov was limited to a silver medal in this tournament due to an injury sustained during training.
Another well-known athlete, Artyom Shturbabin, who won the Asian and World championships in the 66 kg weight category in 2022, will return to Tashkent with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan award.
