As we previously reported, the International Kurash Association has been cooperating extensively with the International Testing Agency and the World Anti-Doping Agency since this year.
Doping tests are taken during all international kurash tournaments, continental and world championships.
Cooperation includes not only taking tests, but also organizing online and offline seminars, extensive cooperation on doping.
The Asian Senior Kurash Championship and the WSP tournament in Hangzhou, China, from April 25th to 30th, will also be monitored by ITA experts.
This issue was discussed at an online conference organized by the General Secretary of the International Kurash Association, Technical Director Reza Nassiri and ITA experts.
It was attended by Mr. Joel Tettoni, the head of the ITA testing department, and Alexander Pigilev, the ITA representative for kurash.During the meeting, all plans and number of tests for other competitions held during the year were discussed.
Also, at the end of March, the 1st phase of ADAMS will begin with the selection of 8 athletes in kurash. Selected athletes must register their whereabouts and random tests will be conducted to track them.
The partnership with the ITA covers the continental championships in China, Egypt, Italy, the Dominican Republic and testing for all continental WSP’s.
In addition, online webinars on Anti-Doping will be organized in April and May. All athletes,coaches, referees and representatives of national federations can participate in the webinars.
