The Romanian Kurash Federation and the UNESCO office in the country are implementing the project “Unite in Diversity! No Discrimination”.
Within the framework of the project, exhibitions of sports and games included in UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage are being organized in general secondary schools in Bucharest, the capital of Romania.
Another important aspect of the project is that the programs of schools of foreign countries operating in the country were also introduced to kurash sports training.
According to the President of the Romanian Kurash Federation, Naim Belgin, kurash classes are currently being held in 5 schools in Bucharest. Recently, kurash classes started at the Uruguayan school in the capital.
The Uruguay School is the most prestigious educational institution in Romania. The school, which was established with the financial support of the US Embassy in Romania, offers intensive training in foreign languages and science.
Within the framework of this project, the Romanian Kurash Federation is working on the issue of teaching Kurash lessons in other schools in the country.
