The Pan American Kurash Federation accepted the Mexican Kurash Federation as a member. The decision was made at the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Union.
Juan Jose Cruz Santillan is the President of the Mexican Kurash Federation. Armando Cobos as Secretary General and Milady Chirinos as Technical Director lead the Kurash in Mexico.
Other members of the executive committee of the federation were introduced in various fields. They have had a lot of career experience in martial arts, and they worked for the wide development of Kurash in the country, making it part of the mass sports.
In Mexico, the National Center for the Development of Kurash operates in Mexico City, specifically the Guelatao Social Sports Center.
It was noted at the meeting that several states, including Mexico, Tlaxcala, Puebla and San Luis Potosi, the National Polytechnic Institute and the National Autonomous University of Mexico (Unam) have joined the Mexican Kurash Federation.
Within the framework of the Federation’s plans for the current year, the Federation plans to become a member of the country’s top sports organizations to participate in regional, continental, and worldwide international Kurash competitions.
Mr. Jaime Casanova, the President of the Pan American Kurash Union, who spoke at the meeting, recognized that the start of activity of kurash in Mexico is a very important step for the development of Kurash in America.
