As previously reported, this year the World Series Pro Kurash series will be held for the prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
This tournament, which is organized in cooperation with the International Kurash Association and the Uzbekistan Kurash Federation, covers all continents of the world.
At the end of all continental championships, the WSP will be held on the next day in the 7 specified weight categories. The final match will be in the homeland of Kurash-Uzbekistan.
On February 20th, at the meeting that was held at the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the dates and conditions of the Kurash World Series Pro (WSP) were concluded.
The meeting was participated by the first Vice-President of the International Kurash Association, Minister of Youth Policy and Sports Adham Ikramov, General Secretary of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan Oybek Kasimov, General Secretary of the International Kurash Association, Technical Director Muhammad Reza Nassiri, Head of IKA Administration Mansur Mirzaev, Rector of the International Kurash Institute Habibulla Tadjiev and Sardor Karimov and Bakhtiyor Kadyrov, the heads of the Uzbekistan Kurash Federation.
According to the schedule of the International Kurash Association, the Asian Senior Kurash Championship will be held in Hangzhou, China, on April 25th-29th this year. On April 30th participants of the championship will compete in 7 weight categories.
Men in -66, -81, -100, absolute weight categories, women in -57, -70 and absolute weight categories.
The Pan American Kurash Championship is to be held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on June 10th-15th, the European Championship to be held in Rome, Italy on June 22th-26th and the African Championship to be held in Cairo, Egypt on July 6th-11th, on the following day the Kurash World Series Pro (WSP) continental competition will take place.
Two top athletes who will obtain the highest WSP Individual ranking points in their weight category at the continental competitions will receive a ticket to the finals.
The total prize pool of the World Series Pro Kurash competitions is 250,000 US dollars.
