As previously reported, on November 24, EC meeting and the Congress of the International Kurash Association took place at the Sheraton and Ramada hotels in Pune.
IKA representatives presented their reports on about 20 issues on the agenda.
During the discussions, questions and answers, important decisions were made on the development of kurash.

The participants of the Congress were provided with information about the activities of the International Kurash Institute. IKI has established cooperation with international kurash experts and set mutual exchange experiences.
During 2022, International Kurash Institute held a number of international seminars and trainings. In particular, on January 22 IKI held an international online seminar for about 250 trainers from Asian countries of the 1st and 2nd zones (Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Lebanon) and Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan).
On February 9, Ministry of Sports Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized an international online seminar on “Compliance with the rules and guidelines of the World Anti-Doping Agency in Kurash” within the framework of the Uzbek national anti-doping cooperation. It was attended by more than 140 coaches and experts from more than 60 international kurash federations. Within the framework of this online seminar, a Memorandum of cooperation was signed between UzNADA and IKI.
On March 26-27, in Rome, Italy in cooperation with the European Kurash Confederation, an international offline seminar for coaches of European kurash federations was held, and on June 18-19, a seminar on refereeing for Arab federations was held in Dubai. On July 15, the State University of Physical Culture and Sports of Uzbekistan held an international online seminar for referees of Southeast Asian states. Referees of the kurash federations of China, Japan, Mongolia, South Korea, Macau, Macau, Afghanistan, Pakistan and other countries took part in it.
On August 26, an online seminar on international refereeing was held for kurash specialists from Chinese-speaking countries. It was attended by 30 referees and experts from the kurash federations of China, Taipei, Hong Kong and Macau.
On October 2, in cooperation with the African Kurash Union, the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan, an international online seminar was organized for referees of the kurash federations of Central African States: Tanzania, Togo, Nigeria, Angola, Niger, Mali, Benin and Ghana.
On October 21-23, the European Kurash Confederation held refereeing and coaching seminars of the International Kurash Institute within the framework of the Continental senior, junior, cadets held in Kozani, Greece.
The Institute has also developed several proposals on kurash methods. It is proposed to change the name of the group “kutarib tashla” to “bardor” and the name of the usul “bardor” to “karshi bardor”.
It is also proposed to rename “elka burama usul” into “teskari elka”, and “karshi usul kushsha bir usul” into “karshi kushsha”.
It is proposed to exclude “karshi usul kushsha usul” from the list of methods due to the insecurity of using this method.
The main goal of these changes is to ensure that the methods of teaching kurash are understandable and accessible to everyone.
