The city of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic is one of the centers of the Pan-American continental kurash.
These days international Kurash Week is taking place in Santo Domingo with the participation of kurash experts from about 15 Pan-American countries.
Summing up the results of the year, on December 8-15, with the support of the International Kurash Association, Pan-American Kurash Union in cooperation with the International Kurash Institute organizes the largest kurash seminars in two stages.
In particular, “Whala Hotel in Boca Chicca”, located in Santa Domingo, hosts international refereeing and coaching seminars for South American kurash federations. It is attended by specialists from countries such as Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Chile, Uruguay.
December 9 – opening ceremony of the international seminar took place. President of the Pan-American Kurash, Jaime Casanova said that he was glad to organize this seminar, and also hoped that other similar events would be held in the Pan-American region.
Rector of the International Kurash Institute Khabibullah Tadjiyev expressed sincere gratitude to all kurash devotees in South America for their hard work, promising that the Institute will regularly continue kurash seminars around the world.
The Secretary General, Technical Director of the International Kurash Association Mohammad Reza Nassiri apologized for not being able to participate directly in the international seminar, noting that IKA has a plan to hold more kurash competitions on this continent in the future.
More than 20 specialists from Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Chile, Uruguay and other South American countries are taking part in the international seminar.
After the opening ceremony, a practical and theoretical seminar on refereeing was launched. It was led by Mohammad Reza Nassiri and international category referee Kim Eurjung via the Zoom platform.
Within two days, experts overseas were able to consolidate their knowledge of the rules of refereeing and the necessary instructions in competitions and get the necessary information.
All participants who successfully participated in the seminar were awarded by the organizers with international certificates.
