To the sounds of Indian national music, leaderships of the International Kurash Association and the Organizing Committee of the World Championship shared the festive mood with the participants.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the event, IKA President Haider Farman expressed sincere gratitude to all Kurash adherents, employees of the Kurash Association of India, who dedicated their work to the championship.
All athletes were wished success and victory in the World Championship.
According to Indian tradition, the honored guests were wrapped in national head dresses. A candle was lit with their participation.
IKA Vice President Jagdish Tytler, Sherzodkhon Kudratkhoja, Komil Ruziev, Thomas Dunker, IKA Executive Committee member Yusuf Yildirim were presented with symbolic gifts from the Kurash Association of India.
