Tomorrow on November 23, is the official day of the Kurash Championship. The city of Pune will remain in the history of Kurash as the host city of the XIII World Championship.
India has hosted several Continental and World youth championships at home. The World Senior Kurash Championship will be held for the first time.
International Kurash Association headed by the First Vice–President Mr. Jagdish Tatler and President of the Kurash Association of India Mr. Ramesh Popli is making every effort to ensure that championship remains one of the most memorable championships for Kurash lovers.
Until today, teams from Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Macau, and Japan have arrived. Representatives of Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Congo will also arrive in Pune during the day.
There is a special group for receiving delegations from the international airports of Pune and Mumbai, placing them in hotels.
The Indian national team will take part in the championship in full. Among them are the most experienced athletes, winners of the Asian Championship, Asian Games.
Pinky Balkhara, who is considered the pride of the Indian Kurash, has repeatedly defended the honor of the country. At the 2018 Asian Summer Games in Jakarta, Pinky won a silver medal in kurash. Millions of Indian youth began to practice kurash after his victories.
