The Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, which are organized by the Asian Olympic Council every 4 years, will be held on November 17-28, 2023 in Bangkok and Chonburi, Kingdom of Thailand.
For the first time, these games differ from the previous games due to the fact that they are held in two cities at the same time, with the largest number of sports and a large number of participating countries.
In fact, this event, which was planned to be held in May 2021, was postponed to November 2023 due to the pandemic. The Olympic Council of Asia has decided that the name “VI-Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games Bangkok-Chonburi 2021” will be retained.
A total of 62 countries from the Asian continent and Oceania are scheduled to participate in the Games. If 18 of them are in Oceania, then one will represent as a refugee team under the flag of the International Olympic Committee.
Within the framework of the Games, 290 sports competitions will be held in 29 sports.
Given that kurash is officially included in the program of these prestigious Games, kurash competitions are planned to be held at the Ambassador Jomtien Center in Pattaya, Chonburi Province.
Ambassador Jomtien Center Pattaya is one of the most beautiful tourist centers in the city. The events of the Asian Junior Kurash Championship were held in this area in 2019, which is located on the Pacific coast.
