September 6 is the World Kurash Day. This year marks the 24th anniversary of the founding of the International Kurash Association.
During 24 years our beloved kurash has become one of the most popular sports in the world.
In a short time, kurash was officially included in the Asian Games. Kurash also took a place in the programs of the World Committee of Martial Arts, the World Games of the Ethnosport Confederation.
IKA President Haidar Farman has reached an agreement on the inclusion of kurash into the programs of the Islamic Solidarity Games, All-African Games, and Pan American Games.
Our main goal is the Olympic Games!
Yesterday, World Kurash Day was widely celebrated in the National federations of all continents of the planet.
These days, during the Asian Championship in Chonburi, a Kurash Flash Mob was organized on the occasion of the celebration. All participants, referees, members of the organizing committee took pictures on the background of the IKA Birthday banner and congratulated each other on the World Kurash Day.
The festivities were also widely celebrated by the European, African and Pan-American Kurash Confederations.
