September 6 – World Kurash Day! This day is a very important day for all people, regardless of their nationality, religion, and social origin.
On September 6, kurash was recognized as an international sport. This day International Kurash Association was established.
Today we celebrate 24th anniversary of Kurash day.
In this regard, this day was widely celebrated at the headquarters of the International Kurash Association.
All employees of IKA and their family members took part in the celebration of Kurash Day.
The event was opened by the Vice–President of the International Kurash Association, Chairman of the Board of the National Media Association of Uzbekistan Sherzodhon Qudratkhoja and congratulated all kurash enthusiasts on this wonderful day.
After that, the floor was given to the Secretary General, Technical Director Mohammad Reza Nassiri of International Kurash Association.
Congratulating everyone, Mr.Nassiri presented the updated website of the International Kurash Association as a gift for the Kurash holiday.
In the short term, IKA website has undergone a new rebranding based on a new design and modern technical capabilities.
During the event, the head of the Administration of the International Kurash Association Mansur Mirzayev congratulated all employees on this wonderful holiday. Gratitude was also expressed to the Government of Uzbekistan, in particular to representatives of the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan, who has always supported the Association.
A traditional birthday cake was cut. Entertainment events were organized, which raised the festive mood.
Sherzodhon Qudratkhoja: Time goes so fast, and 24 years have passed since kurash emerged.
Everyone knows that many competitions have been organized for the development and popularization of kurash in the world.
A lot of people have made their efforts. Thanks to the support of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan today Kurash has been developing fast.
Today I sincerely congratulate all kurash enthusiasts, employees of the Association on the World Kurash Day.
We have one goal and ogether we will definitely include kurash in the Olympic Games program.
Mokhammad Reza Nassiri: Every year I look forward to September 6th. I celebrate this day as a real holiday. I was over 30 years old when I got to know this sport as kurash. I am 55 years old now. Half of my life is connected with kurash. I work on the same system. Kurash is becoming more and more popular every day thanks to the work of the President of IKA, Mr. Haidar Farman..
My friend, former IKA Secretary General Umid Yakubov, was supposed to attend this event today. He doesn’t work at IKA right now. But he is always with us. Today, this holiday is for real devotees like him.

For today’s holiday, we are presenting a new IKA website.
The updated website of the Association provides an opportunity for online registration of championships and tournaments, international seminars based on the requirements of world sports. In addition, the site also hosts video tutorials based on the new E-KURASH program for teaching kurash methods.

For almost 8 months, we have formed a strong, competent team of employees at the IKA headquarters. Today we have a clear goal and plans for the future. We will do our best to further develop our kurash.
