Ethnosport Confederation every two years traditionally holds the World Nomad Games .
This year this prestigious sports event will be held in the Turkish city of Iznik.
About 20 sports are included in the prestigious program of the event. Kurash is also officially included in the program of the Games, which will be held from September 28 to October 4.
Kurash will be held in the weight categories 66, 81 and +81 kg.
To date, International Kurash Association and the World Ethnosport Confederation are working together to organize competitions at the highest level.
It should be noted that at the summit of Turkish speaking states in Bishkek in 2012, Bishkek Declaration was signed by the Presidents of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Turkey and the Kyrgyz Republic.
In order to preserve and restore the culture of the nomadic peoples of the world by strengthening cultural ties between the participating countries, preserving national sports and bringing them to the international level, the World Nomad Games were organized.
On September 9-14, 2014, First World Nomad Games were held in the city of Chulpan-ota, Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan. Athletes from 19 countries participated, such as Azerbaijan, Austria, Afghanistan, Belarus, Brazil, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Mongolia, Russia, USA, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, France, Sweden, South Korea.
The live broadcast of the event to more than 40 countries reached an audience of 230,000,000 people.
