On June 18-19 of this year, the International Kurash Institute, in cooperation with the International Kurash Association, held an international kurash refereeing seminar on the Western Asia Zone in the conference hall of the Courtyard Marriot Hotel in Dubai, UAE.
More than 20 kurash referees from the Asian and Western regions, such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Iran, UAE, Tunisia, as well as referees and experts of a number of kurash federations of the Pan American and Asian Kurash Confederation through the ZOOM platform, actively participated in the seminar.
Mr. Alisher Salomov, Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, attended the opening ceremony of the event as an honored guest. The General Consul sincerely congratulated all the participants of the refereeing seminar and wished that our favorite sport, kurash, will definitely be included in the program of the Olympic Games in the near future.
In his opening speech, the Rector of the IKI, Habibulla Tadjiev, specifically noted that, based on the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 4881 of November 4, 2020, the wide development of kurash in the world, increasing its popularity and increasing its influence in sports arenas is personally supported by the head of our state, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
At the same time, under the leadership of the President of the International Kurash Association, Mr. Heydar Farman, many refereeing and coaching seminars-training are regularly organized for more than 130 kurash federations to train and retrain specialists, coaches, referees, managers and instructors who meet today’s requirements, the main thing is that stressed that continuous and effective measures are being taken to include kurash in the Olympic program in the near future.
In the two-day long international refereeing seminar, experienced experts of the International Kurash Institute fully taught all the rules of kurash in a theoretical and practical manner and gave the necessary explanations. In particular, expert of the educational department of the institute, referee of the international category Kim Eurjoong, master of Uzbek kurash, senior coach of the Youth national kurash team Olim Ravshanov, specialist of the international department of the institute Khurshida Yakupova, course teacher Ali Shaherka from Saudi Arabia were closely involved in further strengthening the knowledge of refereeing rules and instructions of the participants. they helped.
On the second final day of the seminar, another important meeting was held regarding the development of kurash at the world level. In particular, IKA Vice President Mr. Ziyoviddin Khojiniyazov met with UAE sports officials and made an agreement on international cooperation and establishment of a new federation in Dubai.
At the end, all the participants were awarded International Level Certificates of the CSI. Rector of the International Kurash Institute Habibulla Tadjiev thanked all the participants of the seminar for their activity and cooperation and wished them great success in their future activities. He also informed that such seminars will be held regularly by IKI in cooperation with IKA.
