On January 22 of this year, the International Kurash Institute and the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan held an international online seminar for kurash coaches of the kurash federations of Iran, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, and Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
Representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the National Olympic Committee, the International Kurash Association, the Kurash Confederation of Asia-Oceania, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the University of Journalism and Mass Communications, the University of Physical Education and Sports, the Uzbekistan Kurash Federation, international experts and teachers of IKI, as well as the media, attended the event.
Seminars organized by the International Kurash Institute serve to train and improve the skills of specialists who meet high requirements, ultimately, to popularize kurash on a global scale.
In the context of today’s pandemic, it is now possible to hold seminars organized by the institute online.
More than 200 coaches who participated in the seminar were fully shown the rules of 7 ways of kurash by the experts of the International Kurash Institute and the International Kurash Association through the ZOOM platform, both practically and theoretically.
At the opening ceremony of the seminar, Honorary Rector of the International Kurash Institute B. Valiev, IKI vice-rector B. Abduvaliev, head of the IKI department B. Abdulaev and the first deputy chairman of the UKF N. Yusupov were awarded the “Physical” award of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports for their services in the wide-scale development and promotion of kurash were awarded with the badge of honor “excellent in education and sports”.
