On the second day of the 20th Asian Games, the Kurash competitions will continue at the Aichi Prefectural Martial Arts Hall, where champions in the women’s -78 kg and men’s -81 kg weight categories will be determined.
Today, 24 top Kurash athletes representing nearly 20 countries from across the continent will compete for the Asian Games medals.
The spotlight is on experienced athletes who have distinguished themselves at major international tournaments and continental championships. Among them are two-time Asian champion Shohista Nazarova, World Champion and two-time Asian Champion Pokizakhon Kamoliddinova, World Champion Sabina Kadyrova, 2018 Asian Games silver medallist Pinky Balhara, as well as Asian Champion Akhror Ziyodullayev and Iranian representative Ramin Ahmadzadeh.
Today’s contests are expected to feature intense competition, high-level skills and exciting matches. Every match will be an important step towards reaching the podium of the Asian Games.
