A technical meeting was held in the conference hall of Aichi Martial Arts Hall for the technical delegates of the countries participating in the Kurash competitions at the 20th Asian Games.
The meeting was attended by the IKA Acting President Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov, IKA General Secretary Mohammad Reza Nassiri, IKA Technical Director Ravi Kapoor, IKA officials, President of the Japan Kurash Federation Hideo Kamaga, representatives of the Asian Games Organising Committee, and national federations.
Speaking at the meeting, Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov expressed his gratitude to the Asian Games Organising Committee and the Japan Kurash Federation for their efforts to ensure the high-level organisation of the competitions. He emphasised that participation in the Asian Games is a great honour and responsibility for every athlete and sports professional.
Following this, Hideo Kamaga and Hiroki Sato, representing the Organising Committee, provided detailed information on the sports venue where the Kurash competitions will be held, the competition schedule, as well as the opening and award ceremonies.
IKA Technical Director Ravi Kapoor provided explanations regarding the official and unofficial weigh-in procedures, the draw ceremony, and the technical requirements established for participants.
At the conclusion of the meeting, IKA General Secretary Mohammad Reza Nassiri addressed anti-doping control procedures and emphasised the responsibility of national federations, coaches, and technical delegates in ensuring that athletes undergo the required testing in accordance with the established procedures and within the designated timeframes.
