At the closing ceremony of the International Military Sports Council (CISM) I World Military Challenge in Kurash, held in Tashkent, the Secretary General of the International Kurash Association, Mohammad Reza Nassiri, was awarded CISM’s prestigious Grand Knight Order.
The high award was ceremonially presented to Mohammad Reza Nassiri by CISM Secretary General Roberto Recchia.
This order is considered one of the organization’s most prestigious awards, granted to individuals who have made a worthy contribution to the development of military sports, the strengthening of international cooperation, and the advancement of CISM’s “Friendship through Sport” principle.
Mohammad Reza Nassiri has been working closely with CISM over the past two years. With his direct participation, important work has been carried out regarding the official recognition of Kurash sport by CISM, the organization of the first World Military Challenge in Kurash, and bringing cooperation between the two organizations to a new level.
This award is a recognition not only of Mohammad Reza Nassiri’s services, but also of the increasingly strong position that Kurash is taking in the international military sports movement.
