Acting President of the International Kurash Association (IKA) Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov held an online meeting with Joo Hee Park, Chairwoman of the IKA Medical and Anti-Doping Committee. The meeting focused on ensuring compliance with anti-doping requirements at international competitions, safeguarding athletes’ health, and further strengthening cooperation in this important area.

The online meeting was attended by the IKA General Secretary Mohammad Reza Nassiri, Presidential Advisor Umid Yakubov, Head of the IKA Administration Mansur Mirzaev, Rector of the International Kurash Institute (IKI) Khabibulla Tadjiyev, as well as representatives of the IKA International Relations and Media Department.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the organisation of a special anti-doping seminar to be held within the framework of the World Kurash Senior Championship. As highlighted this seminar would help enhance the knowledge and awareness of athletes, coaches, referees, and representatives of national federations in this sphere.

Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov particularly emphasized that the International Kurash Association places particular importance on its anti-doping policy. He noted that adherence to the principles of clean and fair sport, together with the consistent implementation of the World Anti-Doping Code, is one of the fundamental pillars of the Olympic Movement. He reaffirmed that the IKA will continue to strengthen its efforts in this field in full accordance with international standards.
