The Kyrgyzstan Senior Kurash Championship was held at a high organizational level at the Gazprom Sports Complex in Bishkek. Nearly 400 Kurash athletes representing eight regions of the country, as well as the cities of Bishkek and Osh, competed for the championship titles.

Organized through the joint efforts of the Physical Culture and Sports Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic, the National Olympic Committee, the Directorate of Non-Olympic Sports, and the Kyrgyzstan Kurash Federation, this year’s national championship once again featured intense and exciting contests.

The opening ceremony was attended by national sports officials, representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Bishkek, sports veterans, coaches, athletes, and members of the media.

In addition, to ensure that the competition was conducted in accordance with international standards, a group of experienced referees from the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan participated in the championship and provided practical assistance to their Kyrgyz colleagues.

Following a day of fierce and highly competitive matches, the champions and medalists in all weight categories were determined. The winners were ceremonially awarded diplomas, medals, and valuable prizes established by the organizers.

Based on the results of this championship, the members of the Kyrgyzstan National Kurash Team will be selected to represent their country at upcoming international competitions.
